Morocco's Skies Dazzle with Aerobatic Display for King's Anniversary

The skies over M'Diq beach in Morocco transformed into a spectacle of celebration and beauty on Thursday, as the "Green March" aerobatic team of the Royal Air Force performed a dazzling aerial show. The display commemorated the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI's ascension to the throne.

Seven "Cap 232" aircraft painted captivating artistic patterns in the sky with precise formations and coordinated movements. The performance blended creativity with precision and discipline, offering residents and visitors moments of awe and wonder. Crowds gathered on M'Diq beach, anticipating the aerial show that has become a signature event for the city, adorning its skies during national celebrations.

The "Green March" team, established in 1984, executed intricate low-altitude maneuvers, showcasing the pilots' exceptional skill and mastery. These maneuvers, including "Split-S," "Avalanche," "Tail Slide," and "Reflex Circle," have earned the team a place in the Guinness Book of World Records since the late 1980s.

The 20-minute show featured symbolic formations such as the "Cherifian Star," representing the heart of the national flag, and the "Double Heart," symbolizing the love and connection of the Royal Air Force personnel to the throne. Other formations included "The Palm Tree," "Multi-Cross," and "Face-to-Face Cross."

To conclude the impressive aerial display, the team drew the number 27 in the sky over the city of M'Diq, a tribute to the 27th anniversary of King Mohammed VI's enthronement.
