Mostly sunny and pleasant, around 30 degrees: Another warm period is coming

Serbia is set for a predominantly sunny and pleasant Wednesday, with temperatures hovering around a comfortable 30 degrees Celsius. This calm weather, however, is a prelude to another warm spell expected to grip the country by the end of the week.

Forecasters predict that Friday and Saturday could see temperatures soar, potentially reaching as high as 38 degrees Celsius in many areas. This return to high temperatures, following a period of minimal rainfall, continues the dry conditions that have plagued the region.

The persistent lack of precipitation, coupled with the rising temperatures, creates favorable conditions for the rapid spread of open fires. Hydrological warnings remain in effect due to low water levels on the Danube, Sava, and Tisa rivers, with levels expected to remain below navigable thresholds in the coming days.

Looking ahead, the forecast indicates sunny and warm weather will prevail through the end of August, with daily temperatures generally ranging between 30 and 35 degrees Celsius. While brief thunderstorms might occur over the weekend, they are expected to bring little rainfall. A slight drop in temperature is anticipated from Sunday onwards.
