MotoGP: Aprilia triumphs at Silverstone, Bezzecchi heroic on the podium

Raul Fernandez delivered a commanding performance to win the MotoGP Grand Prix at Silverstone, leading an Aprilia-dominated podium. The Spanish rider held off challenges to secure victory, marking a significant achievement for the Noale-based manufacturer.

Despite facing intense pain from two recent operations, Italian rider Marco Bezzecchi delivered an heroic performance to clinch third place. His podium finish, achieved while battling physical discomfort, deeply enthused the fans and highlighted his determination.

Jorge Martin, who started from pole position, faced a setback with a stuck ride-height device but recovered to finish second. The race saw mixed fortunes for other prominent riders, including Marc Marquez who finished seventh, and championship leader Pecco Bagnaia who crashed out mid-race. Pedro Acosta secured a strong fifth place on his KTM.

Fernandez expressed his elation, stating, "I am very happy. I don't even know how to explain what I feel. We had a beautiful weekend. Now we are back to victory." Martin, satisfied with his result, added, "I am happy for myself, a good injection of confidence for the end of the season. It seems we have found the way."

The MotoGP season now takes a short break before resuming in Aragon.
