Motorcyclist, 46, dies in accident in Mestecăniș Pass. Man went into cardiac arrest on the way to hospital

A tragic road accident in Romania's Mestecăniș Pass has resulted in the death of a 46-year-old motorcyclist. The incident occurred Saturday evening in Suceava county when the motorcycle the man was riding collided with a passenger car. Reports indicate the car was driven by an 18-year-old who had obtained his driver's license only a few months prior. The collision happened around 5:00 PM, reportedly after the young driver crossed a continuous lane marking and entered the path of the oncoming motorcyclist. The motorcyclist, identified as being from Vișeu de Sus, sustained severe injuries. Emergency services, including firefighters and an ambulance crew, responded to the scene. The injured motorcyclist was transported towards the hospital. However, during the journey, he experienced cardiac arrest. Medical personnel attempted resuscitation for approximately an hour before declaring his death, according to ISU Suceava. In a separate incident in the same region, five people were involved in a collision between three vehicles near the locality of Clit. Two of these individuals, conscious and cooperative, were transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
