Motorcyclist Dies in Collision with Bus in West Bandung

A tragic traffic accident on Saturday evening claimed the life of a motorcyclist on the Bandung-Cipatat highway in West Bandung, Indonesia. The collision occurred around 7:30 PM in the Kampung Andir area of Cipatat District.

The incident involved a bus, identified by license plate F 7633 WA and driven by Rudi Susanto, 39, traveling from Cianjur towards Bandung at a moderate speed. A Honda Beat motorcycle, with license plate D 5745 UFN and ridden by Ariando Siahaan, 24, emerged at the scene.

According to police, both vehicles were traveling at moderate speeds. However, the motorcycle was reportedly not visible to the bus driver, leading to the unavoidable collision. The impact tragically resulted in the immediate death of the motorcyclist, Ariando Siahaan.

Kapolsek Cipatat, Kompol D.M.S Andriani Sapin, confirmed the accident and stated that the motorcycle was not seen by the bus driver, despite both traveling at moderate speeds. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is ongoing.
