Motorcyclist leads police on chase through Chitila streets before crashing

A routine traffic stop in Chitila escalated into a dramatic chase when a motorcyclist decided to flee from police. Officers from the Chitila City Police, part of the Traffic Division, spotted a motorcycle without a license plate circulating in Chiajna.

When signaled to stop, the rider accelerated, attempting to evade the officers. The pursuit continued through several streets in Chiajna. Police used their siren and lights, issuing repeated commands for the motorcyclist to halt, but he persisted in his flight.

Throughout the pursuit, police used the patrol car's acoustic and luminous signals and repeatedly issued commands for the driver to stop. He continued to flee, and at one point left the roadway and headed towards unpaved terrain, trying to reach an area where the police car could no longer follow.

The situation intensified when the motorcyclist veered off the paved road onto unpaved terrain, aiming to reach an area inaccessible to the police vehicle. The officers dismounted and continued the chase on foot. Eventually, the motorcyclist lost his balance and fell, allowing the police to catch up and immobilize him.

Subsequent checks revealed the man did not possess a driver's license for any vehicle category. Furthermore, the motorcycle he was operating was neither registered nor licensed for public road use. The incident highlights the risks associated with unregistered vehicles and drivers attempting to evade law enforcement.
