Mourinho wins debut in second Real Madrid spell in training match against Alcorcón

José Mourinho marked his return to the Real Madrid dugout with a victory, albeit in a training match against Alcorcón. The Portuguese manager, in his second spell with the club, oversaw a 1-0 win at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium.

The lone goal came from academy player Yáñez in the 81st minute, converting a penalty. This provided a winning start for Mourinho, who last managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.

The match served as an early pre-season test for the squad, with much of the game played behind closed doors after an initial period open to the press. Players like Lunin, Huijsen, and Arda Güler featured in the starting lineup. Güler had an earlier penalty saved by the Alcorcón goalkeeper.

Several prominent players were in attendance, including Eder Militao and Rodrygo Goes, who are still undergoing injury recovery, and Federico Valverde, who recently joined the team after his World Cup participation. Mourinho is still awaiting the full squad as many internationals have yet to return.
