Musk aids Trump's Republicans again in congressional elections

Elon Musk is set to re-engage in supporting Donald Trump's Republican Party for the upcoming US congressional elections, despite a past falling out. Musk's organization, America PAC, plans to concentrate on advertising campaigns to bolster the Republican effort.

A senior Trump advisor expressed optimism about the PAC's return, stating it will provide an "enormous boost" to the party. Musk had previously been a significant donor to Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, contributing over $250 million. This support had positioned him as a close confidant during Trump's second term, with Musk often seen alongside the president and involved in efforts to cut government spending.

However, the relationship soured in mid-2025 following a dispute over a tax law championed by Trump. Musk publicly claimed Trump would not have been re-elected without his assistance, while Trump countered that Musk was upset over the cancellation of electric vehicle subsidies. Although they later reconciled, the relationship remained distant.
