Nam Young-joon Appointed National Central Library Director; Go Sang-baek Heads KHIDI

Nam Young-joon, an emeritus professor at Chung-Ang University, has been appointed as the new Director of the National Central Library. The appointment, effective August 7th, carries a term of two years. Professor Nam has a distinguished background in library and information science, having served as a professor at Jeonju University and Chung-Ang University.

In a separate appointment, Go Sang-baek, a professor at Yonsei University Wonju College of Medicine, has been named the new President of the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI). This appointment also took effect on August 7th and has a three-year term.

Professor Go Sang-baek brings extensive experience to his new role. A graduate of Yonsei University College of Medicine, he has held significant positions including director at the Korea Science and Technology Federation, a member of the policy development committee at the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences, and a member of the National Bio-Innovation Committee.
