National B of UFI: Fram, host of the kickoff in a revamped stadium

The National B Championship, organized by the Unión del Fútbol del Interior (UFI), kicked off on Friday, with the official opening ceremony scheduled for Sunday. The event will be hosted at the newly improved stadium of Club Guaraní in the city of Fram, located in the Itapúa department.

The championship commenced with a match on Friday where 12 de Junio of Cabañas defeated 1° de Setiembre 3-1 at the Club Sportivo Azucarero stadium. The official inauguration ceremony on Sunday at 3:00 PM will feature the local Fram team playing against Unión Deportivo Pilar. UFI President Óscar Ramírez and other football officials are expected to attend.

This event is a historic occasion for Fram, as it marks the first time the city will host the official opening ceremony of a UFI National B Tournament season. Colym Soroka, vice president of Club Guaraní de Fram, highlighted the significance of this event for the local sports community and recognized the club's efforts.

The stadium has undergone significant renovations, including new seating, modernized restrooms, a perimeter wall, press boxes, and an upgraded playing field with automatic irrigation and a well. These improvements were made possible through a collaboration between UFI and the National Secretariat of Sports (SND). A secondary field for youth teams is also nearing completion.

Anticipation is high among fans for a grand sporting celebration to launch the new season. The event is expected to benefit not only Club Guaraní but also the entire city of Fram, providing an opportunity to showcase its organizational capabilities and welcome visitors from across the country.
