National Handicrafts Fair: A Celebration of Panamanian Culture

Panama City is set to host the National Handicrafts Fair at the Atlapa Convention Center, an event that will bring together hundreds of artisans from various provinces and regions. These creators have dedicated months to producing traditional pieces that preserve national culture.

Culture Minister María Eugenia Herrera expressed excitement for the fair's opening, highlighting its significance in supporting artisanal talent. "We are very excited and ready to welcome families. This is a true celebration of our culture, where artisans from all provinces and regions have taken over Atlapa with their talent, joy, and beautiful creations," she stated.

The fair will offer visitors a diverse range of traditional crafts, including clothing, jewelry, and pottery. The agenda also features practical workshops, continuous folk performances on stage, and a dedicated section for traditional Panamanian gastronomy. "There is no excuse not to come to Atlapa, support our artisans, consume what is made in Panama, feel proud of our identity, and enjoy a pleasant time with family," Minister Herrera urged.

The fair officially opens at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at the Atlapa Convention Center. Ticket prices are set at B/. 3.00 for general admission (adults), B/. 1.50 for retirees, and B/. 1.00 for children aged 6 to 12. Children under 6 and individuals with disabilities will receive free entry.
