Neighborhood fire dispute turns violent, 6 arrested in Turkey

A dispute over a fire that threatened homes in Yunusemre, Turkey, escalated into a violent brawl, leading to six arrests. The incident began when a fire broke out in a grassy area near homes in the Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood. Panic spread among residents as flames neared their houses. Firefighters responded quickly, bringing the blaze under control and preventing it from spreading to homes.

However, once the fire was out, tensions flared between two neighboring families. An argument erupted, with one family accusing the other's child of starting the fire and nearly causing their homes to burn. The verbal dispute quickly turned physical, with participants using stones and clubs.

Local residents alerted authorities, prompting a large deployment of police, riot police, and medical teams. Police established security measures and intervened to break up the fight. Six suspects from both families involved in the altercation were detained and taken to the police station. Three individuals who sustained minor injuries refused hospital treatment and were attended to by paramedics at the scene.
