Nelson Segovia Shines in Brazilian Karting Championship

Paraguayan karting driver Nelson Segovia once again proved his mettle at the Kartódromo Ayrton Senna in Interlagos, Brazil, competing in the Mini 2T category of the Copa São Paulo Light. Segovia delivered a series of impressive performances throughout the weekend, marked by strong comebacks, race leads, and a fastest lap in the final race.

Despite a challenging qualifying session where he started eleventh due to difficulty finding aerodynamic slipstreams, Segovia demonstrated remarkable racecraft. In the first heat, he surged through the field from eleventh to eighth. His performance in the second heat was even more notable; starting eighth, he quickly gained positions, took the lead, and ultimately finished second after a close battle.

The final race saw Segovia starting from the front row. He remained a top contender, leading for several laps and engaging in a tight fight for the win before finishing fourth. His consistent speed was highlighted when he recorded the fastest lap of the race.

Segovia's combined results of eighth, second, and fourth place in the three heats placed him eighth overall in the general classification. The event was characterized by exceptional parity, with four drivers finishing with identical points, necessitating a tie-breaker based on qualifying position to determine the final standings.
