In response to the devastating floods that recently impacted several districts, the Nepal Veterinary Association has launched a critical 24-hour hotline service to aid livestock and poultry farmers. The initiative aims to provide immediate rescue and treatment support for animals in the affected areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and other regions hit by the Wednesday floods.

According to Dr. Shankar Neupane, the association's General Secretary, affected farmers can now dial 1159 to receive essential technical advice regarding the health condition, treatment options, and rescue of their animals and poultry. This hotline serves as a crucial communication channel, enabling the association to effectively coordinate with veterinarians and rescue teams already deployed in the field.

Following the information received through the hotline, the association will mobilize necessary resources and teams promptly to address the urgent needs of the livestock.
