Neptūnas Retains Veteran Player Lukauskis

Veteran player Mindaugas Lukauskis will continue his tenure with BC Neptūnas, having agreed to a contract for the 2024-2025 season. Lukauskis, a long-serving member of the Klaipėda-based club, was a key contributor in the domestic league last season, averaging 7.7 points and 6.4 efficiency points.

His presence is considered vital by the club's sports director, Branko Mirkovičius. "Mindaugas is a cornerstone of the team," Mirkovičius stated. "We are especially pleased that we reached an agreement quickly and smoothly. He has a significant voice in the locker room and serves as an example for his younger teammates."

Lukauskis also performed well in the European Cup, posting 8.7 points, 1.1 assists, and 7 efficiency points over 18 games. The upcoming season offers him an opportunity to further climb the all-time LKL scoring list. He currently ranks sixth, with the players in fifth and fourth place within reach, needing 78 and 116 points respectively.
