Netanyahu calls Trump meeting 'best ever,' reaffirms joint will to stop Iran's nuclear program

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with former U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, where they discussed pressing global issues, with a primary focus on preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. The meeting underscored a shared commitment between the two leaders to counter Iran's nuclear ambitions.

Following the discussion, Netanyahu's office released a statement highlighting the "excellent and comprehensive" nature of the talks, which covered major bilateral and international concerns. An anonymous official present at the meeting was quoted by The New York Times, stating that Trump and Netanyahu "reaffirmed their firm common will that Iran must never possess nuclear weapons."

Netanyahu himself shared his positive assessment of the meeting on Instagram, calling it "one of the best meetings" he has had with Trump. He emphasized the "complete partnership and mutual support" during the conversation, noting a shared objective to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, alongside other critical matters.

The private meeting, which lasted approximately 90 minutes, also involved senior officials from both the Trump administration and Israel. Netanyahu stated that the discussions were crucial for coordinating "important ideas and actions for Israel's security and future." White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt confirmed the meeting's conclusion, describing it as "positive and productive," similar to a preceding meeting Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
