New Bandung-Palembang Flight Route Launched, Passengers Praise Practicality

Wings Air has officially launched a new flight route connecting Bandung and Palembang, operating from Husein Sastranegara International Airport. This service, which began on Friday, August 7, 2026, is a welcome addition for travelers seeking a more practical and efficient journey between West Java and South Sumatra.

The inaugural flight carried 40 passengers, departing at 9:17 AM Western Indonesian Time. The new route provides a much-needed alternative for those who previously had to travel via Jakarta to reach Palembang, significantly reducing travel time and hassle. Passengers have voiced strong approval for the direct service.

Yolanda, a passenger, highlighted the increased flexibility the new route offers. "With this flight, travel time becomes more flexible, especially for us who need to travel quickly. Kerry, who was traveling to Palembang to visit family, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the time saved by avoiding the Jakarta transit.
