New bombings in Iran war: Tehran claims control over Strait of Hormuz

Iran's military has escalated tensions by attacking two ships near Oman and declaring the Strait of Hormuz closed, actions that occurred concurrently with diplomatic negotiations. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi was in Muscat, Oman, discussing the strait's future with Omani and Qatari officials.
