New Director Appointed to "Kyrgyzpharmatsiya" to Boost Efficiency

The state enterprise "Kyrgyzpharmatsiya" has a new leader, Akylbek Turatbek uulu, appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers. This move is intended to bolster the enterprise's management capabilities and enhance its effectiveness, particularly in the crucial area of centralized procurement for medicines and medical supplies for healthcare institutions across Kyrgyzstan.

During his introduction to the "Kyrgyzpharmatsiya" team, Turatbek uulu outlined his strategic priorities. These include fostering greater transparency and efficiency in operations, instilling robust financial discipline, and refining the planning and oversight mechanisms for procurement processes. He also emphasized the importance of open communication with staff and collaborative efforts to drive the enterprise forward.

Turatbek uulu brings a solid educational background, holding a law degree with honors from the Kyrgyz State Law Academy. His professional experience includes significant tenure in state governance bodies, notably serving in the presidential administration where he held roles as an expert, inspector, and deputy head of a control department. This background suggests a deep understanding of state administration and policy implementation.

This appointment follows a period of leadership changes at "Kyrgyzpharmatsiya." Previously, Bolot Dzhunusov was appointed director in January 2026. However, his tenure was cut short following the dismissal of the Minister of Health, Kanibek Dosmambetov, in February, leading to Dzhunusov's departure as well. The current appointment aims to bring stability and renewed focus to the enterprise's critical functions.
