New heatwave to hit Kazakhstan from Iran

Kazakhstan is set to experience a significant increase in heat as warm air masses originating from Iran sweep into the country's western and southern regions. Forecasters predict temperatures will soar, with the southern parts of the nation likely to reach a scorching +37 to +42 degrees Celsius.

The intense heat is a direct result of these warm air currents moving northwards. Western Kazakhstan will also feel the brunt of this heatwave, though to a slightly lesser extent, with thermometers expected to show readings between +34 and +39 degrees Celsius.

However, the weather picture across Kazakhstan will be varied. While the south and west swelter, a northwestern cyclone and its associated atmospheric fronts will bring a different weather pattern to the northern and eastern parts of the country. Residents in these areas can expect rain accompanied by thunderstorms and stronger winds, with a possibility of hail in some locations. Temperatures in the north will remain considerably cooler, hovering between +22 and +27 degrees Celsius during the day.
