New online learning platform extends UCC’s academic excellence to professionals in Ghana and beyond

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) in Ghana has introduced UCC eCampus, a new online learning platform designed to extend its academic offerings to professionals worldwide. This initiative, a collaboration with Astra Learning, aims to make selected postgraduate programs accessible to individuals seeking to advance their qualifications without disrupting their careers or relocating.

UCC eCampus will allow learners to pursue structured postgraduate studies while balancing their professional and personal commitments. The platform will feature a range of programs, including MBA, MSc, DBA, and PhD degrees in fields such as business management, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, finance, and healthcare management. Other specialized programs in human resource management, project management, and supply chain logistics will also be available.

According to a statement from the UCC eCampus Communication Office, the platform reflects the university's dedication to academic excellence and providing education that meets the evolving needs of professionals and society. UCC Vice Chancellor Prof. Denis Worlanyo Aheto emphasized that education is a vital engine for progress and that eCampus will make this engine accessible to more people.

The platform combines the flexibility of online learning with the rigorous academic standards expected of UCC postgraduate programs. Dr. Jeff Bordes, CEO of Astra Learning, stated that the platform is designed around the realities of working professionals, offering the structure and support needed from enrollment to graduation. UCC eCampus will serve learners across Ghana, the broader African continent, and internationally, including Ghanaians living abroad.
