The leader of Turkey's Republican People's Party (CHP), Özgür Özel, has revealed plans for the formation of a new political party, stating that its technical establishment is currently being handled by fellow lawmakers.

Özel indicated that the broader political launch, intended to involve the Turkish public, is scheduled for August or September. He expressed confidence that members will transition to the new party together, signaling no internal obstacles. "We are carrying out the technical setup of the party with our parliamentary colleagues. We will carry out its political establishment with our nation in August or September. With that establishment, we will all join our new party together. We have no problems," Özel stated.
