New Taipei City launches 'New Taipei Action!' film exhibition

New Taipei City is transforming its City Hall lobby into a cinematic hub with the "New Taipei Action!" exhibition, running from August 27 to August 30. Organized by the New Taipei City Film and Television Production and Development Center, the event centers around the theme "New Taipei Film City."

The exhibition is divided into four distinct zones designed to immerse visitors in the world of film and television production. These include "New Taipei Film City," showcasing filming locations across the city; "ACTION STREET | Filming on the Corner," recreating street scenes; "ACTION TIME | Time to Film," transporting visitors to nostalgic eras; and "ACTION LOVE | Heartbeat Filming," offering a romantic ambiance.

New Taipei has rich and diverse urban landscapes. The city government has created a friendly filming environment. Since its establishment, the New Taipei City Film and Television Production and Development Center has provided over 8,600 services to film crews.

Interactive elements are key to the experience, with activities such as a film set flip-and-find game, themed photo opportunities, and a matchmaking wall. These attractions aim to engage visitors of all ages, allowing them to discover the city's role in various film and drama productions. The New Taipei City Government's News Bureau highlighted that the city offers a diverse urban landscape and a supportive environment for filming.

Since its establishment, the New Taipei City Film and Television Production and Development Center has provided over 8,600 services to film crews. The city has also developed four themed film tourism routes. This exhibition further promotes New Taipei's appeal as a filming destination, inviting the public to not only watch shows but also experience the atmosphere of filmmaking. Additionally, visitors can enter an online lottery by commenting on a designated post on the "My New Taipei" Facebook page, and those who take photos at the exhibition and share specific content publicly will receive exclusive gifts.
