Nicki Pedersen sticks with winning team for speedway World Cup final

Danish speedway national coach Nicki Pedersen has opted for continuity, selecting the same lineup for the upcoming World Cup final as the one that secured their place in the decisive race. The team will feature the Grand Prix trio Michael Jepsen Jensen, Leon Madsen, and Anders Thomsen, alongside three-time European champion Mikkel Michelsen. Frederik Jakobsen will serve as the reserve rider.

Pedersen expressed confidence in his chosen riders, stating, "I'm giving the whole crew another chance. They are all in good form, and I think they worked very well together as a team in the semi-final in Riga." The final is scheduled to take place at the national stadium in Warsaw, Poland. The Danish delegation will convene in the Polish capital the day before the final, with an opportunity for practice on the newly laid track.

Denmark boasts a rich history in the speedway World Cup, being the second most successful nation. However, their last victory dates back to 2014, a championship where Pedersen himself was part of the winning team. This year, the team will be looking to add another title to their legacy.
