Nicole Kidman: I Was Warned Against Marrying Tom Cruise But Ignored Advice

Actress Nicole Kidman has shared that she received warnings against marrying Tom Cruise, but proceeded with the wedding because she was "madly in love."

Kidman met Cruise, who was already an established star, on the set of "Days of Thunder" in 1989. They married a year later and later adopted two children, Isabella and Connor. Their marriage lasted 11 years before they divorced in 2001.

In a recent interview with Vogue, the now 59-year-old Kidman recounted how people advised her that marrying Cruise could negatively impact her burgeoning career. At the time, Kidman was relatively new to Hollywood, while Cruise had already starred in major films like "Top Gun" and "Rain Man."
