Nigerian troops rescue kidnap victims, arrest terror logistics suppliers

Nigerian troops have conducted successful operations across multiple states, rescuing kidnap victims and apprehending individuals supplying logistics to terrorist groups. In Zamfara and Katsina, troops responded to distress calls and patrols, leading to the rescue of three individuals who had been abducted on July 14 while working on their farms.

Further operations in Kebbi State resulted in the arrest of six suspected logistics suppliers and the recovery of 10 new motorcycles. Preliminary investigations suggest these motorcycles were destined for a known terrorist leader operating in the Amogoro axis. The suspects and recovered items were handed over to the Department of State Services for further investigation.

In Yobe State, troops neutralized a suspected Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province terrorist and recovered weapons and other items while foiling an attempted attack. These operations highlight ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and related criminal activities in the affected regions.
