NNL Commends Imo State Governor, Uzodimma, over AGM

The Nigeria National League (NNL) leadership has expressed gratitude to Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for agreeing to host the league's 17th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Owerri. The event is slated for August 21, 2026, with 34 NNL clubs, board members, and key stakeholders expected to convene in the state capital.

NNL Chief Operating Officer, Danlami Alanana, conveyed the league's delight, describing the governor's support as a testament to Imo State's commitment to advancing football in Nigeria. "We are very grateful to His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma, for giving the nod to host the 17th Annual General Meeting in Owerri on August 21," Alanana stated. He added that this gesture highlights his administration's ongoing dedication to sports development, particularly football.

The AGM is anticipated to serve as a crucial platform for the league's management and club representatives. Discussions will focus on reviewing the recently concluded season, evaluating operational effectiveness, and formulating strategies to enhance the Nigeria National League in preparation for the 2026/2027 campaign.

The NNL Board expressed confidence that Imo State will provide a conducive environment for a successful meeting.
