North Sumatra Police Detonate Smoke Grenade in Siantar Martoba

The Bomb Disposal Unit (Jibom) of the North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) has successfully neutralized a smoke grenade in the Siantar Martoba sub-district of Pematangsiantar City. This operation underscores the police's commitment to safeguarding the public from potential explosive hazards.

The neutralization process was carried out with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP). The primary focus was ensuring the safety of all residents and personnel involved in the operation. The team, led by Ipda Bambang Sudirmanto, responded promptly after receiving a request for assistance from the Siantar Martoba Police Sector.

Following an assessment at the scene, the smoke grenade was transported to a vacant lot in Tanjung Tongah Village, Siantar Martoba District. This location was chosen to minimize any risk to nearby residential areas and public activities. The neutralization was described as "measured, professional, and prioritizing safety."

Kombes Pol Rendra Salipu, Commander of the Brimob Polda Sumut, emphasized that the unit's capabilities are part of a broader commitment to providing optimal protection to the community. He stated that all reports concerning explosive materials are handled with speed, precision, and adherence to procedures.
