Northern Buenos Aires Rents Drop 7.2% in Real Terms Despite Nominal Hikes

Apartment rental prices in the northern Greater Buenos Aires region have experienced a real-term decrease of 7.2% over the last year. This phenomenon, while seemingly counterintuitive, means that while rents have increased nominally, they have not kept pace with Argentina's high inflation rate. In essence, tenants are paying more than a year ago, but the value of those payments has diminished relative to the general cost of living.
