Norwegian football federation demands FIFA president's resignation

The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) has announced it will call for the resignation of FIFA President Gianni Infantino, citing a lack of institutional trust. Lise Klaveness, head of the NFF, stated that Infantino "does not have the institutional trust required to lead FIFA in a stable manner in the current climate."

"There is no turning back for Gianni Infantino," Klaveness told reporters on Friday. "We are going to ask the FIFA president to resign now." The decision follows a meeting of the NFF's governing bodies, which examined the leadership of the FIFA chief, who has been a vocal critic of Infantino for several years.
