NSIB probes Air Benin aircraft runway excursion in Edo

The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB) is probing a runway excursion incident at Benin Airport in Edo State involving an Air Benin Embraer E170 aircraft. The plane, operating as Flight 4264 from Lagos, overran the end of Runway 05 shortly after landing on Thursday afternoon.

According to the NSIB, the aircraft carried 63 passengers and five crew members. All individuals on board were safely evacuated and accounted for, with no injuries sustained during the incident. The bureau's Go Team was quickly deployed to the site to secure evidence and begin the investigation.
