NUJ mourns death of Cross River journalist

The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Cross River State Council, regrets to announce the death of our colleague and member, Mr Enya Ndem, who passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026.

Ndem was a respected member of the Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ in Cross River State. The union described him as a committed journalist whose contributions, particularly to the advancement of digital journalism in Nigeria, were memorable. His death is considered a significant loss to the profession.

In a statement signed by Council Secretary Mike Abang, the NUJ leadership expressed deep sorrow over the loss. The council, in collaboration with the Correspondents Chapel, has reached out to Ndem's family to offer condolences and support during this difficult time.
