Obi-Kwankwaso Movement inaugurates Cross River executives, unveils secretariat for 2027 election

The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has officially launched its presence in Cross River State, inaugurating executive members and unveiling a new secretariat in Calabar. This move signals the organization's preparations for the upcoming 2027 general election.

I bring greetings from His Excellency, Peter Obi and His Excellency Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso. Today marks the beginning of a new direction for the people of Cross River State. Come rain, come sunshine, we are here. We are here to reposition Nigeria.

The movement aims to rally support for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso. The inauguration event, held despite heavy rainfall, saw the attendance of party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the state's 18 local government areas.

National Convener Jackie Wayas emphasized the significance of the event, stating it marks a "new direction" for the people of Cross River State. She urged attendees to return to their wards and polling units to mobilize votes, asserting that support for Obi and Kwankwaso represents an opportunity for a "new Nigeria."

We need to go back to our wards and polling units to mobilize votes for Peter Obi and Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso. Any vote for them is for a new Nigeria. This is the hard work. It needs collective effort of all well-meaning OK Movement supporters.

Egwu Arong, the State Coordinator, highlighted the secretariat's role as a "working home" for organization, coordination, documentation, and grassroots mobilization. He outlined the movement's focus on clear coordination, engaging youths and women, and maintaining discipline and respect for the law. Arong also charged members to register voters and support NDC candidates.
