A seven-member cabinet committee, headed by the finance minister, has been formed by the government to review the salary structure of judiciary employees. The Cabinet Division issued an official notification regarding this decision on Thursday.

The committee's mandate is to review the report of the "Bangladesh Judicial Service Pay Commission, 2025" and formulate necessary recommendations. Its members comprise the ministers for home affairs, power, energy and mineral resources, women and children affairs, social welfare, and law, justice, and parliamentary affairs.

Additionally, the committee includes the advisor to the ministries of finance and planning, as well as the state minister for public administration and food. The Finance Division will provide comprehensive secretarial support for the committee's operations.

The terms of reference allow the committee to co-opt new members if deemed necessary, ensuring flexibility in its review process. This initiative signals the government's attention to the remuneration and working conditions of judicial staff.
