The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has appointed four senior leaders to its National Standing Committee, the party's highest policymaking body. The new members are Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Chairman’s Advisory Council Member Aman Ullah Aman, former acting convener of Dhaka North BNP Farhad Halim Donar, and Chairman’s Advisory Council Member Md Ismail Jabiullah.

According to a press release signed by BNP Assistant Office Secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain, these appointments are part of a party decision to inject greater dynamism into its organizational activities. Rizvi has a long tenure as the party’s senior joint secretary general. Aman previously led the Dhaka North BNP as convener, while Farhad Halim served as the acting convener for the same unit.

Jabiullah currently holds the position of prime minister’s adviser on public administration. The BNP last convened its national council in March 2016, after which the National Standing Committee was formed. Several positions on the committee have become vacant over time due to deaths, resignations, and other reasons, with the party filling some of these vacancies periodically.
