Nahid Islam, the opposition chief whip in Bangladesh's parliament, declared on Tuesday that deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina has no legal recourse to appeal her death sentence. Speaking at a program organized by the Dhaka University unit of Jatiya Chhatra Shakti, Islam stated that Hasina's 30-day window to file an appeal had passed without any submission.

He referenced media reports suggesting Hasina might return in December, noting that the government would decide the timing of her return. Islam claimed the government had already indicated no opportunity for Hasina to surrender.
