Bangladesh's Election Commission (EC) will release the draft list of polling centers for upcoming local government elections on August 10, with the final list to be published on August 27. Citizens can submit claims and objections to the draft list until August 18, and these will be processed by August 23.

This timeline follows a revision of the Polling Stations Setup and Management Guideline for local government elections on July 7. The EC shortened the period for publishing polling center lists for zila and upazila parishad elections from 25 days to 15 days. The timeframe for union parishad, municipality, and city corporation elections remains unchanged.

The EC plans to commence the local government polls with union parishad elections in the first half of October. The election schedule is expected to be announced by the end of August.
