Ogun State Governor praises police for deploying aircraft to aid security operations

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has lauded the Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, for the swift deployment of an operational police aircraft to bolster security operations within the state. The governor had formally requested the aircraft to enhance the state's security framework and intensify efforts against criminal activities and banditry.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, the Inspector General of Police promptly approved the request. Receiving the aircraft and its crew in Abeokuta, the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, conveyed the governor's gratitude for the prompt response and unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property.

Talabi emphasized that the deployed aircraft would significantly improve aerial surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response capabilities for security agencies. The operational aircraft is anticipated to further boost "Operation Kosaye," a joint security initiative targeting kidnappers, bandits, and other criminals in forests, border communities, and identified flashpoints. Governor Abiodun reaffirmed his administration's dedication to supporting security agencies and investing in initiatives that guarantee peace, security, and sustainable economic development in Ogun State.
