Olimpia announces squad for Torneo Clausura 2026 opener against Libertad

Olimpia has unveiled its official roster of 24 players selected for the highly anticipated start of the Torneo Clausura 2026. The Paraguayan club is set to clash with Libertad in the "clásico blanco y negro" on July 26, with kickoff scheduled for 4:00 PM at the Defensores del Chaco stadium.

Coach Pablo "Vitamina" Sánchez has included the team's recent acquisitions in the squad. Notably, New Zealand international defender Tim Payne and Argentine forward Braian Romero are among the new faces. Romero, based on recent team dynamics, is projected to begin the match in the starting lineup.

In addition to these key signings, Sánchez has also incorporated midfielders Víctor Sebastián Quintana and Pedro Zarza into the squad for the match against Libertad. Both players have returned to the main team after completing their loan spells at Sportivo Luqueño and Sportivo Trinidense, respectively, for the second half of the year.
