Olimpia signs young attacking talent César Miño

Olimpia, one of Paraguay's most decorated football clubs, has secured the signing of promising 19-year-old attacking midfielder César Eduardo Miño Amarilla. Miño arrives at the club as a free agent, having completed his development at Guaraní. His future role at Olimpia is yet to be determined, as the club's management will decide whether he joins the senior squad or is sent out on loan to gain more playing experience.

Miño, who hails from Laurelty, San Lorenzo, has represented Paraguay in youth national teams. He departed Guaraní after failing to reach an agreement on contract extension. During his tenure with Guaraní's senior team since 2022, he played 60 matches and scored four goals. The club views him as a significant project with considerable potential, noting his characteristics are similar to those of Bernardo Romeo Benítez, another player who emerged from Guaraní's ranks.

César Miño is expected to be officially presented as Olimpia's new player this week. His integration into the team will depend on the decision of head coach Pablo “Vitamina” Sánchez. The Paraguayan Clausura championship is set to commence next weekend, with Olimpia scheduled to play their opening match on Sunday, July 26, against Libertad at the Defensores del Chaco stadium.
