Olympiacos and Nijmegen: Dates and times set for Champions League third qualifying round matches

Greek football club Olympiacos is set to compete against Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in the third qualifying round of the Champions League. The first match is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens, kicking off at 9:00 PM local time. The return leg will take place in the Netherlands exactly one week later, on August 11, at 8:30 PM Greek time (7:30 PM local time).

These dates and times are pending official confirmation from UEFA, which will occur after the conclusion of the second qualifying round. Should Olympiacos successfully navigate past Nijmegen, they will proceed to the playoff round. A victory in the playoffs would guarantee them a place in the Champions League League Phase, entering from the path of non-champions.

In the subsequent playoff round, Olympiacos would face the winner of either the Sparta Prague vs. Lyon tie or the Union SG vs. Bodo/Glimt match. However, if Olympiacos is eliminated in either the third qualifying round or the playoffs, they will automatically secure a spot in the Europa League League Phase. The playoff matches are scheduled for August 18-19 and August 25-26.
