Olympiacos announces signing of Greek volleyball international Alexandros Raptis

Olympiacos Piraeus has bolstered its men's volleyball team by officially announcing the signing of Alexandros Raptis. The Greek international outside hitter returns to his home country after a three-year stint playing professionally in France and Italy.

Raptis, born in 2000 and standing at 2.00 meters tall, is considered one of Greece's top volleyball talents. His career includes previous spells with prominent Greek clubs PAOK and Panathinaikos, as well as international experience with teams like Chaumont, Nice, Poitiers in France, and Ravenna in Italy. He has been a consistent member of the Greek men's national team since 2019.

The "red-and-whites" of Piraeus have secured Raptis's signature on a new contract, adding significant depth to their roster. His previous achievements include two Greek championships, one Greek Cup, and two Greek League Cups, showcasing his winning pedigree.

The announcement marks Olympiacos's continued efforts to strengthen its squad for the new season, aiming to compete at the highest level both domestically and potentially in European competitions. Raptis's arrival is expected to be a key factor in the team's ambitions.
