Olympiacos signs Swedish forward Astrid Larsson for women's football team

Olympiacos has bolstered its women's football squad with the acquisition of 26-year-old Swedish striker Astrid Larsson. The forward arrives from AEK Athens, a rival club, and is expected to strengthen Olympiacos's attacking options for the upcoming season.

Larsson brings a wealth of experience from her career, which began in Sweden's top division, Damallsvenskan, in 2014. She has played for several Swedish clubs, including Tyresö, Älta, Hammarby, Piteå, IFK Kalmar, and Eskilstuna United, before moving abroad.

Her international journey included a stint in Italy with Brescia in 2025, followed by her move to Greece to play for AEK. Larsson stated her enthusiasm for joining Olympiacos, noting the team's strong performance last season. "I am really excited and grateful to have signed for Olympiacos," she said. "The team had an excellent season last year, and I am very happy to now be a part of it and continue this journey with them."
