Oman named Asia’s best country for quality of life

Oman has earned the distinction of being the best country in Asia for quality of life, and ranks third globally according to the Numbeo Quality of Life Index 2026 Mid-Year. This achievement highlights the Sultanate's growing reputation as a desirable place to live. The index, which assesses factors like purchasing power, safety, healthcare, cost of living, property prices, commute times, pollution, and climate, placed Oman alongside Denmark in third position globally. Only the Netherlands and Luxembourg scored higher.

Oman's strong performance is particularly noted for its high levels of public safety, minimal pollution, quality healthcare services, pleasant climate, and relatively short commuting times. These elements combined to secure its top position in Asia and the Arab world in this latest assessment. The Numbeo index is a widely referenced crowd-sourced database that uses user-contributed data and statistical indicators to compare living conditions worldwide.
