Omani military bands shine at world championships in Scotland, claim top honours

The Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Band has made a commanding debut at the World Music Competition in Dumbarton, Scotland, clinching first place overall in Category 4B. The ensemble also triumphed in the drum corps category, showcasing its accomplished standing on the international stage. The competition drew over 130 bands across various divisions.

The RAFO Band's success is attributed to a polished performance and unwavering discipline, demonstrating a high standard of musicianship and professionalism. This achievement underscores the band's advanced capabilities in military musical performance, precision, and execution.

Adding to Oman's international accolades, the Royal Army of Oman (RAO) Band secured a significant milestone at the Scottish Championships in Dumbarton. The RAO Band earned first place as the best marching and discipline ensemble and achieved a fourth-place finish in the World Level 3 (B) category. This event featured more than 130 of the world's finest military bands.
