Oman Wins 11 Awards at GCC Smart Investor Competition

Oman secured 11 awards at the fourth GCC Smart Investor Award, which concluded in Riyadh with more than 300,000 entries from across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

Omani participants placed across all four competition categories: writing, photography, drawing and video production. The contest grouped entrants as school students, university students and individuals.

In writing, Rawdh Al Farsi won first place among school students, while Duja Al Maani took third place among university students. Sara Al Kalbani and Sajia Al Ismaili finished first and second in the individuals group.

Oman also won several photography awards. Tasneem Al Sabahi and Al Yaqeen Al Salimi placed first and third among school students, while Mawaddah Al Salmani and Alia Al Abri won their respective university and individual groups. Maria Al Sudairi took first place in university drawing. In video, Salim Al Yaqoubi won the school students category and Zuha Al Masoudi placed fourth.

The award is organized by securities market regulators from GCC countries. It aims to improve financial and investment literacy and encourage young people to create accessible content about sound investment practices. The Omani results were presented as a sign of the country’s creative talent and participation in regional financial education initiatives.
