On the Prophet’s Birthday, Mojtaba Khamenei Delivers Message Amid Difficulties Facing the U.S. and Israel

Ayatollah Sayid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei used the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday to denounce the United States and Israel, describing them as longstanding enemies of unity and friendship among Muslims.

The message, issued on Aug. 30, 2026, also marked Islamic Unity Week and the birthday of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq. Khamenei congratulated Iran and the wider Muslim community, presenting Muhammad as a source of guidance and spiritual renewal.

The text portrayed the Prophet’s arrival in Mecca as a turning point for humanity. It said his mission, grounded in the Quran and devotion to God, guided humanity toward spiritual perfection and worship.

Khamenei described the lives of Muhammad and his successors as lessons in faith, compassion, struggle, ethics, honesty, dignity, knowledge, justice, wisdom, unity and brotherhood. He said that applying those lessons would help humanity reach greater prosperity and happiness.
