North Sulawesi Military Command and Sangihe Regency Strengthen Cooperation for Regional Stability

The XIII/Merdeka Military Regional Command (Kodam XIII/Merdeka) and the Sangihe Islands Regency Government in North Sulawesi have formalized a commitment to bolster their collaborative efforts in maintaining regional stability. This strategic partnership was cemented during a recent meeting between the Commander of Kodam XIII/Merdeka, Major General TNI Mirza Agus, and the Regent of Sangihe, Michael Thungari.

Communication and coordination that are well-established are an important part of strengthening cooperation between the TNI and the regional government, especially in supporting development and maintaining regional stability.

Major General Mirza Agus underscored the critical role of robust communication and coordination as the cornerstone for strengthening the partnership between the TNI (Indonesian National Armed Forces) and local governments. He highlighted that this synergy is particularly vital for supporting accelerated development initiatives and ensuring a stable environment within the region.

The synergy built is part of a joint effort to make a real contribution to the progress of the region and improve the welfare of the community in Kepulauan Sangihe Regency.

He emphasized the unique geographical characteristics and challenges faced by Sangihe as an archipelago, underscoring the necessity of strong collaboration with the TNI. The Regent expressed his expectation that the continued support from Kodam XIII/Merdeka would help create a secure and conducive atmosphere for the implementation of various government programs in the regency.
