Ondo Rep member, Ojogo escapes death in Ore–Ondo auto crash

Hon. Donald Ojogo, a member representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency in Nigeria's House of Representatives, survived a serious auto crash on Saturday along the Ore–Ondo Road. The lawmaker had a narrow escape from what could have been a tragic incident.

The accident reportedly happened when a commercial bus driver engaged in a dangerous overtaking maneuver, leading to a collision with Ojogo's oncoming vehicle. The incident caused considerable panic among other road users.

Ojogo, who recently secured re-election to the National Assembly, was traveling to Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area for a political meeting at the time of the crash. He expressed profound gratitude to God for preserving his life and that of his team, stating that divine intervention prevented a more tragic outcome.

While the lawmaker escaped serious injury, some individuals in his entourage sustained injuries. Those injured have been taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Ojogo attributed the accident to reckless driving and the impatience of the commercial bus driver on the highway.
