One Civilian Killed in Sumy Region Shelling Over 24 Hours

Russian shelling in Ukraine's Sumy region claimed one civilian life and injured four others within a 24-hour span, according to regional military administration reports. The attacks also inflicted damage on private homes, non-residential buildings, and civilian infrastructure.

A 62-year-old man succumbed to injuries sustained on August 13 from rocket artillery fire in the Seredyna Buda community. That same shelling also wounded two men, aged 37 and 58, and two women, aged 60 and 71.

Earlier, on August 13, two men aged 52 and 55, and a 21-year-old woman sought medical attention after being hit by rocket artillery in Seredyna Buda. Separately, a 51-year-old man injured by a Russian drone strike in Sumy city on August 11 also required medical aid.

Further casualties were reported on the morning of August 14 in the Buryn community, where a 9-year-old boy and a 29-year-old woman died when enemy drones struck a residential building. The number of injured in this incident rose to five, including men aged 62, 29, and 70, and women aged 52 and 68.
